As we step into the holiday season, it’s a time for connection, gratitude, and giving back. This year, Loudoun Serenity House is excited to invite our community to celebrate the spirit of the season with us at our Holiday Open House and Cookie Crawl on December 7, 2024. These events offer a meaningful opportunity for friends, neighbors, and families to come together, learn more about the work we’re doing, and support recovery for individuals in Loudoun County. By joining us, you’re not only embracing the holiday cheer—you’re playing a crucial role in helping others find a path to lasting recovery.
Why Community Support Matters for Recovery
Recovery is a journey, and while it’s a deeply personal process, it is often the support of friends, family, and the wider community that strengthens and encourages individuals to stay on course. Substance Use Disorder (SUD) affects not just the individual but also those around them and the community as a whole. When people come together to support recovery efforts, it becomes more than just an individual victory—it’s a collective triumph that uplifts everyone involved. This holiday season, by attending our Open House and participating in the Cookie Crawl, you can directly contribute to this powerful transformation.

Event #2: Cookie Crawl

Location: Starting at Loudoun Serenity House
Participation Fee: $50 donation per ticket
The Holiday Cookie Crawl is a festive experience that lets participants explore downtown Leesburg, all while supporting Loudoun Serenity House! Starting at our location, participants will receive a commemorative holiday tin and a map highlighting participating retailers. Each stop along the Cookie Crawl will offer a delicious, pre-wrapped holiday cookie. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy seasonal treats, support local businesses, and do a little holiday shopping along the way.
All proceeds from the Cookie Crawl go directly toward our recovery programs. By purchasing a ticket, you’re not only supporting individuals on their journey to sobriety but also contributing to a more resilient and compassionate community.
Attending Both Events: A Celebration of Community and Recovery
The Open House and Cookie Crawl are designed to complement each other, creating a full day of engagement and holiday spirit. We encourage attendees to start their day with the Cookie Crawl, collecting treats, visiting local retailers, and enjoying a festive stroll through Leesburg. Then, in the late afternoon, make your way to our Open House. This transition from the vibrant downtown atmosphere to the warmth and hospitality of Loudoun Serenity House is a beautiful way to experience the impact your support has on our community.
By attending both events, you’re not only having a fun-filled day, but you’re also showing support for recovery in a tangible way. Recovery is more than a personal victory—it’s a community effort that lifts everyone. Each dollar raised, each connection made, and each story shared during these events reinforces the collective strength of our community.
How Your Support Makes a Difference
